Its main customers are retailers, hospitals, manufacturers, airports and train stations. The group has four production sites located in Switzerland, France, the United States, and Germany. Its distribution network covers more than 50 countries, with a particularly strong presence in France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.

In January 2011, Somfy Participations sold all the agta record shares it held.

Somfy acquired a 46.10% share in CIAT’s capital in July 2008. The CIAT group’s 2014 sales came to €248.9 million.
This shareholding was sold to the American group United Technologies Company in January 2015.

La Buvette is the Sofilab group’s key brand. Set up in 1947 in the Ardennes, a region of livestock farming and foundries, the La Buvette drinkers were traditionally made of cast iron. Today, La Buvette provides farmers with livestock watering systems, helping them save time and water and detect disease in their herds.

Edify acquired a 25% share in the Sofilab group capital on 21 December 2012.

The Sofilab group’s 2016 sales came to €19.5 million.

This shareholding was sold on 27 July 2017.

Cotherm (Vinay, Isère) designs, manufactures and distributes electromechanical thermostats and electronic controls for heating applications.

After six years as a shareholder, Somfy Participations sold its 65% stake in Cotherm in 2012 as part of an LBO, in which Somfy Participations contributed 10% alongside Siparex and the directors of the company.

Edify sold its 10% stake in Cotherm on 12 January 2019.
